Dog is Confused or Struggles to Start the Search

✅ Ensure a clear start line and search cue.
✅ Reduce distractions in the environment if needed.
✅ Use smaller search areas before advancing to larger spaces.

B. Dog Alerts Incorrectly or Too Soon

✅ Wait for a strong, confident alert before calling “Yes.”
✅ Ensure the quarry is properly placed with scent accessible.
✅ Check airflow—scent movement may mislead the dog.
