Setting Up a Search and Video Submission Guidelines
A. Video Submission Requirements
Each submission must include: Course walkthrough – Show the start line, hide location, and any distractor placement.
Shed type verification – Verbal and visual confirmation of the antler.
Run video – A continuous recording showing start line behavior, search, and final retrieve.
Videos must be continuous – The walkthrough, retrieving the dog, and running the search should be one uninterrupted clip.
Videos should be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and submitted via the NASDA dashboard.
B. Search Area and Hide Placement Rules
Search areas must mimic natural hunting terrain as much as possible.
The shed must be thrown into the search area rather than placed to prevent scent trails.
The start line must be clearly marked, and the shed must be located at least five feet away.
