Combining Online Submissions with In-Person Results: How It Works

The NASDA Online Title Program provides a flexible way for teams to earn titles outside of in-person events. While most online titles are separate from their in-person counterparts, some have direct ties to the in-person titling system.
Lost Item Online (LIO) vs. In-Person Lost Item Titles
- LIO runs are entirely separate from the in-person Lost Item program.
- However, when a dog earns the Master Lost Item Online Champion (MLIOCH) title, they receive 500 LI-I points toward their overall NASDA standings.
Urban Locating Online (ULO) vs. In-Person Urban Locating Titles
- ULO runs are completely separate from the in-person Urban Locating program.
- These online searches are designed to help teams develop skills and earn titles outside of in-person trials but do not count toward in-person Urban Locating titles.
Urban Locating (Standard) Online Titles and In-Person Titles
- Urban Locating I (UL-I) and Urban Locating II (UL-II) titles earned online are combined with their in-person equivalents.
- This means online UL-I and UL-II runs count toward in-person titling progression, allowing teams to work toward their Urban Locating titles through a mix of both online and in-person searches.
Shed Dog Online Titles and In-Person Titles
- Shed Dog I (SD-I) and Shed Dog II (SD-II) titles earned online are combined with their in-person equivalents.
- This means online SD-I and SD-II runs count toward in-person titling progression, allowing teams to work toward their Shed Dog titles through a mix of both online and in-person searches.
By structuring the online program this way, NASDA ensures a balance between independent skill-building opportunities and maintaining the integrity of in-person competitions while still allowing some crossover where appropriate.
