Why Tickets May Be Canceled or Not Move Forward
There are a few common reasons why a ticket may be canceled or may not proceed through the correction system:
Missing or Incomplete Documentation:
NASDA is unable to review or process results corrections without clear documentation of the issue. This may include photos of posted event results or score sheets, the emailed results file from the club, award labels, or other supporting evidence. Providing complete documentation helps ensure your ticket can be properly reviewed.
Host Club Confirms Results Are Accurate:
Results posted at the event should be considered preliminary. Occasionally, results may change after the event—for example, if a correction is made to another dog’s score that affects bonus points, or if a judge’s recording error is identified and fixed. Exhibitors are encouraged to carefully review posted results on-site or in the emailed summary from the host club before they are submitted to NASDA. It’s significantly easier for clubs to make corrections before results are finalized.
Duplicate Requests:
Submitting the same correction more than once is often unintentional, but repeated or deliberate duplicate submissions may be viewed as poor sportsmanship. Like you, host clubs and NASDA are committed to ensuring accurate results—but some corrections require time, research, and coordination. If you’re unsure about the status of your correction, please check the admin notes on your existing ticket before submitting again.
Tip:
The best way to ensure your ticket is processed quickly is to provide as much detail and documentation as early as possible. The more time that passes after an event, the more difficult it becomes to resolve discrepancies.
