Updating Your Dog’s Breed from “Other” in NASDA

To update your dog’s breed from Other, you will start by logging into your account.

If NASDA has added your dog’s breed to the official listing, you can update their registration from “Other” to the correct breed by following these steps:

How to Submit a Breed Update Request

Log into your NASDA account.

Click “My Dogs.”

    Find the dog whose breed you want to update and click “Update Dog.”

    Under “Breed Change Request,” select the correct breed from the dropdown menu.

    Provide supporting documentation, which may include:

    • DNA test results confirming breed heritage (if applicable).
    • Kennel club or parent club registration proof (e.g., AKC, UKC, CKC, FCI).

    Click “Update.”

      Review & Processing

      • All breed changes are manually reviewed by NASDA before being updated in the system.
      • The review process may take some time, depending on the documentation provided.
