Earning Points Towards Titles

Titles in NASDA are awarded when a dog accumulates the required number of points within a specific level. Each level has its own point threshold, and as dogs progress, they can achieve higher-level titles that showcase their skills and accomplishments. Titles serve as a recognition of a dog’s dedication, training, and success in NASDA events.

Each team begins a run with 25 points. To qualify, a team must earn at least 20 points, with deductions made for dog and handler errors during the run.

In addition to the base points, teams can earn High in Trial bonus points ranging from 1 to 15 in each class where there are three or more dogs competing. These bonus points are awarded based on two factors:

  1. Accuracy: The team with the highest number of points (fewest deductions) earns the bonus points.
  2. Speed: If accuracy is tied, the fastest time is used to determine the winner of the bonus points.

Points are awarded as follows:

  1. 15 Points
  2. 10 Points
  3. 5 Points
  4. 1 Point
