Advancement to Supervised Apprentice Judge represents one of the most important transitions in NASDA judge education.

During Shadow Apprentice assignments, you learned by observing, practicing, and discussing decisions with the Judge of Record.

As a Supervised Apprentice, your role changes.

You are no longer practicing what you would do if you were the judge. You are now expected to judge.

An approved Judge of Record continues to provide supervision and mentorship, but the Supervised Apprentice should perform the practical responsibilities of the judge.
