Trailing & Locating

The purpose of  a trailing and locating trial is to determine the abilities of all breeds of dogs to track, trail (follow), and locate a quarry above ground.  Trials will be held in a natural hunting terrain. A successful trailing dog should work independently and at a distance from the handler. At Level I and Level II dogs may compete on or off lead.
