Week 5 – Roll of the Dice
Versatility Cup – Lost Item Roll of the Dice
Lost Item Challenge 6: Roll of the Dice (Two Rounds)
Deadline: May 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM Pacific
Important Note: Tournament runs do not count toward LC6 title requirements.
Both rounds will use Lost Item Challenge 6: Roll of the Dice (LC6), combining:
- Lost Item Challenge 1: Distance (LC1)
- Lost Item Challenge 5: Silence (LC5)
Search areas must be set in accordance with the requirements for both LC1 Distance and LC5 Silence as outlined in the Master Handbook.
Dogs may be run on or off lead for both challenges.
Each search area must include:
- One hide
- One unscented distractor item that is the same type as the scented item
- One contained distractor containing a bagged snack item commonly found in a vending machine, such as an open package of cookies or chips
Hide Visibility Requirement
Hides should NOT be readily visible to the dog and must be clearly shown during the video walkthrough prior to the start of the search.
Handlers should ensure the setup demonstrates fair hide placement while maintaining challenge integrity.
