About Den Hunt
Den Hunt is a thrilling activity designed to test and celebrate the natural hunting instincts of small earthworking dogs. Historically, breeds like smaller terriers and Dachshunds were bred to hunt vermin and small game living in burrows or dens underground. NASDA Den Hunt takes this tradition and broadens its reach by welcoming all breeds and mixed breeds that can fit through a 9″ x 9″ tunnel, making it an inclusive activity for a wide range of dogs.
Den Hunt events provide a safe and controlled environment for dogs to showcase their natural scenting, tracking, and problem-solving skills while navigating tunnels to locate quarry. This activity engages a dog’s instincts, offering a mentally and physically rewarding experience that mimics real-world hunting scenarios.
