The North American Sport Dog Association was founded in 2016 to celebrate the versatility of all dogs. 2,213 teams representing 218 breeds and mixed breeds have competed in NASDA since 2016.  The Supreme Versatility title was developed to recognize teams that have earned titles at the same level in all five primary NASDA sports:

  • Trailing & Locating
  • Urban Locating
  • Trailing Brace
  • Shed Dog
  • Lost Item Recovery

Dogs who have earned additional titles at the same level have a designator attached to their title:

  • L – Online Lost Item Recovery
  • D – Den Hunt
  • C – Urban Challenge

The Supreme Versatility title replaces all titles earned at that level in a dog’s name.  Let’s look at some examples:

Supreme Versatility, Versatile Locating and Versatile Urban Locating titles can be viewed under Titles Earned in the NASDA Dashboard. At the time of this release, 77 dogs hold the Bronze title representing 31 breeds.  The top 5 breeds are Labrador Retriever, Border Collie, Border Terrier, Patterdale and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.  Seven of those dogs also hold the silver title.  There is currently one dog with the Supreme Versatility Gold title.  The breed?  Miniature Poodle.
