    • Clearly mark the start line for each search.
  2. Quarry Cages:
    • At least two quarry cages per search area are required.
  3. Used Rat Bedding:
    • Ensure sufficient bedding is available for quarry cages.
  4. Camouflage, Straps, and Anchors:
    • Use camouflage materials, nylon straps, and anchors (like trampoline anchors) to securely hide and stabilize quarry cages.
  5. Rat Tea:
    • Prepare Rat Tea for creating scent trails.
  6. Sprayer or Drag Line Equipment for Rat Tea

Optional Items Based on Region

  1. T-Posts with Flags or Snow Poles:
    • Useful for marking search areas, especially in large, open, or snowy terrains.
  2. Additional Markers or Boundary Flags:
    • For defining specific boundaries of search areas or setting up trails in dense or uneven terrain.

By preparing these items in advance, you’ll create a well-equipped, seamless event that meets NASDA standards and provides a rewarding experience for handlers and their dogs.
