NASDA Championship Event Sportsmanship & Information Security Agreement NASDA Championship-level events are designed to provide fair, challenging competition in which every exhibitor has an equal opportunity to compete without advance knowledge of competition elements. Protecting the confidentiality of blind searches and other restricted competition information is the responsibility of everyone attending the event. Completion of this agreement is required for every individual attending the event with an entrant, regardless of whether that individual is personally competing. This includes exhibitors, handlers, family members, friends, assistants, traveling companions, volunteers, and other individuals attending with an entrant. SPORTSMANSHIP & COMPETITION INTEGRITY I understand that NASDA expects all individuals attending a Championship-level event to conduct themselves in a manner that protects the fairness, integrity, and sportsmanship of the competition. I will not intentionally obtain, provide, request, or share information that could give an exhibitor an unfair advantage or compromise the integrity of blind competition. Restricted competition information may include hide locations, search patterns, search-area details, distractions, course design, boundaries, environmental conditions, judge positioning or procedures that could reveal competition elements, photographs, video, audio, diagrams, descriptions, or other information that could provide advance knowledge to an exhibitor who has not yet competed. RECORDING & ELECTRONIC DEVICES I understand that unauthorized video, photography, audio recording, livestreaming, or other recording of searches, competition areas, briefings, walkthroughs, or other protected portions of the event may be prohibited. NASDA officials may restrict phones, smart watches, cameras, earbuds, radios, wearable technology, or other communication or recording devices in designated areas or during designated portions of the event. I agree to comply with those instructions. ELECTRONIC & SOCIAL COMMUNICATION I will not share restricted competition information through text messages, email, social media, private messages, group chats, photographs, video, livestreams, phone calls, electronic devices, or any other means before that information may appropriately be released. BLIND COMPETITION & HANDLING DOGS To preserve the integrity of blind competition, a handler may handle only one dog per sport during the applicable blind Championship competition. This limitation applies separately to each sport. An exhibitor with multiple eligible dogs may change which dog they intend to handle before competing in that sport, but any handler change must be reported to the score table before the affected dog competes. Once a handler begins the applicable blind competition with a dog in a sport, that handler may not subsequently handle another dog in that same sport during that blind competition. The restriction applies to the handler, not the dog's eligibility to compete. PROHIBITED PERSONAL QUARRY Participants and attendees may not bring their own quarry onto the trial grounds. Only quarry provided or specifically authorized by NASDA for use at the event is permitted on the trial grounds. This applies regardless of whether personally owned quarry is intended for training, practice, demonstration, competition, or any other purpose. RESPONSIBILITY OF ENTRANTS & ATTENDEES Entrants are responsible for ensuring that every person attending the event with them completes this agreement. Individuals attending with an entrant are bound by these requirements even if they are not personally competing. All attendees agree to follow instructions from NASDA judges, officials, score-table personnel, stewards, and authorized event personnel concerning competition security, restricted areas, devices, recording, and event procedures. JUNIOR PARTICIPANTS If the participant is under 18 years of age, this agreement must be completed and electronically signed by the participant's parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian acknowledges these requirements on behalf of the junior participant and agrees to ensure that the junior complies with applicable NASDA Championship sportsmanship, information-security, device, blind-competition, and prohibited-quarry requirements. VIOLATIONS Actions that compromise or attempt to compromise the fairness, confidentiality, security, or integrity of NASDA Championship competition may be considered violations of NASDA rules and policies and may result in removal from restricted areas or the event, impacts on results or awards when applicable, referral for disciplinary review, or other action deemed appropriate by NASDA.
