Club Responsibilities

Clubs play a critical role in NASDA by fulfilling a variety of responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Hosting Events: Planning and executing trials that provide opportunities for participants to compete and showcase their dogs’ abilities.
  • Selecting Venues: Choosing appropriate locations that meet NASDA’s standards for safety, space, and functionality.
  • Hiring Judges: Identifying and contracting qualified judges who are fully licensed for the levels and classes offered at the event.
  • Communication: Maintaining clear and consistent communication with exhibitors, judges, and NASDA administration to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Recording Event Results: Accurately recording trial results, including class placements and qualifying scores.
  • Submitting Results: Ensuring event results are submitted to NASDA within the required timeframe, formatted correctly, and verified for accuracy.
  • Responding to Corrections: Addressing any corrections or questions regarding submitted results promptly and professionally.
  • Demonstrating Good Sportsmanship: Modeling respectful, inclusive, and fair behavior at all times, fostering a positive environment for participants, judges, and volunteers.

By effectively managing these responsibilities, clubs contribute to the integrity, efficiency, and overall success of NASDA events, fostering a positive and engaging experience for all participants.
