In an effort to clarify handler movement in the Shed Dog classes, the wording in the NASDA Master Handbook

“Once the judge has called “yes” the handler may no longer continue their movement and must begin the retrieve portion of the exercise.”

has been updated to

“Once the judge has called “yes” the handler may no longer continue their movement toward the dog and must begin the retrieve portion of the exercise.  The handler may take up to three steps away from the dog without deduction.”

It is the intent that once the shed has been called, the handler will not reduce the distance the dog must retrieve by continuing toward the dog.  The handler may step away from the dog to encourage the retrieve without reduction.
